Volume Hiring Specialist
Location:
Johnston, RI
Duration:
3-month contract with possible extension
Pay Rate:
$29.57/hr W2
Work Arrangement:
Flexible hybrid schedule—up to 4 days per week onsite Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and responsive Volume Hiring Specialist to support the Talent Acquisition team. This position manages high-volume requisitions, evaluates candidates, coordinates assessments, and supports the full candidate application lifecycle.
The ideal candidate has experience in recruiting coordination or HR support, can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to providing an excellent candidate and hiring-manager experience. Key Responsibilities
Requisition and Process Management
- Manage a high volume of requisitions across multiple business lines.
- Maintain accurate requisition and candidate documentation within the applicant tracking system, such as Oracle.
- Ensure recruiting activities comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Candidate Selection and Experience - Review applications and assessment results to determine which candidates should progress to hiring-manager interviews.
- Present qualified candidates within the first 14 days of opening a requisition.
- Monitor candidates throughout the application process, troubleshoot issues, and escalate concerns when necessary.
- Manage the full lifecycle of the candidate application process.
- Extend verbal offers, confirm start dates, and facilitate pre-onboarding activities.
- Disposition candidates promptly and maintain clear, professional communication throughout the process.
Stakeholder Support and Communication - Serve as a key point of contact for hiring managers.
- Train and coach first-time managers on the hiring process.
- Ensure managers provide timely, skills-based interview feedback.
- Partner with market recruiters and Recruiting Coordination Operations (RCO) to achieve the best hiring outcomes.
- Provide regular updates regarding requisition status, candidate pipelines, and hiring progress.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues as they arise.
Strategic Talent Support - Identify promising applicants who may be suitable for recruiter review, even if they are not immediately selected for an interview.
- Tag strong silver-medalist and highly rated candidates within the ATS for future opportunities.
Technology and Process Optimization - Leverage recruiting technology and AI tools to improve efficiency and streamline workflows.
- Identify and recommend process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and the candidate experience.
Compliance and Risk Management - Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements.

Help for Additional Information. Opens a new window. Qualifications - Associate or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in recruiting coordination, talent acquisition, HR support, or a related function.
- Experience managing multiple requisitions or supporting high-volume hiring.
- Proficiency with Oracle, applicant tracking systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while remaining accurate and responsive.
- Strong commitment to compliance, confidentiality, process integrity, and candidate experience.
