Job Description
What You'll Do The Talent Acquisition Lead serves as the company's dedicated recruiting and onboarding partner and is responsible for owning and managing the complete hiring process—from identifying staffing needs and sourcing candidates through hiring, onboarding, and new-hire orientation. This position works closely with hiring managers to proactively recruit and hire the field employees and professional staff needed to support company growth and operational success. The role functions similarly to an embedded staffing partner, ensuring positions are filled efficiently, workforce needs are anticipated, and new employees are prepared to begin work successfully. Recruiting responsibilities include hourly field personnel, seasonal employees, skilled trades, sales professionals, administrative staff, supervisors, managers, and other salaried positions. Experience recruiting both hourly and salaried positions. Experience recruiting for landscaping, construction, maintenance, manufacturing, sales, service, or related industries preferred. Strong understanding of sourcing techniques, recruiting strategies, and candidate engagement. Experience managing multiple openings simultaneously across different departments and job levels. Working knowledge of employment and labor laws. Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems and HRIS platforms; Paycom experience preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills. Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and take ownership of recruiting and onboarding results. Ability to influence hiring decisions and partner effectively with business leaders. Bilingual English/Spanish required. Key Responsibilities Own and manage the complete recruiting and onboarding process, from identifying staffing needs through the employee's start date and orientation. Serve as the primary recruiting partner for hiring managers. Manage full-cycle recruitment for all assigned openings, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, offers, pre-employment requirements, and onboarding. Recruit for field operations, landscaping, irrigation, enhancement, snow removal, sales, administrative, management, and professional-level positions. Meet regularly with department leaders to review staffing needs, workforce gaps, turnover trends, and future hiring demands. Develop recruiting strategies based on position requirements, department needs, seasonal demands, and labor-market conditions. Source candidates through job boards, referrals, networking, social media, community outreach, recruiting events, industry associations, and direct sourcing. Build and maintain candidate pipelines for critical, seasonal, and hard-to-fill positions. Build recruiting relationships with technical schools, trade schools, colleges, universities, workforce agencies, community organizations, and industry groups. Attend job fairs, career events, campus recruiting events, networking functions, and other recruiting activities. Conduct candidate screenings, interviews, assessments, reference checks, and required pre-employment processes. Coordinate interviews and provide hiring recommendations to managers. Maintain communication with candidates and ensure they move through the hiring process efficiently. Prepare and coordinate employment offers with the HR Manager and hiring leaders. Initiate and monitor new-hire onboarding requirements, background checks, documents, and Paycom tasks. Communicate start dates, schedules, reporting locations, orientation details, and other instructions to new hires. Coordinate with hiring managers to ensure each new employee's work assignment, supervisor, equipment, uniform, and schedule are ready before the start date. Coordinate and support new-hire orientation and ensure required documents, policies, and training are completed. Partner with Operations leaders to ensure crews are appropriately staffed and prepared to meet customer commitments. Support recruiting and onboarding during seasonal hiring surges and emergency weather events. Maintain accurate recruiting and onboarding records within Paycom and other company systems. Ensure recruiting and onboarding activities comply with company policies and applicable employment laws. Track and report recruiting metrics, including open positions, time-to-fill, candidate sources, applicant flow, offers, start dates, and hiring outcomes.
