Job Description

As a Talent Acquisition Partner 1, you'll play a key role in helping Maverik stores find and hire great talent while creating a positive and engaging candidate experience from start to finish. In this role, you'll partner closely with store leadership and HR teams to support recruiting strategies, source top talent, guide hiring managers through the hiring process, and help build strong community partnerships that support long-term hiring success. Location/Schedule:
This role is based at our Salt Lake City Headquarters with a 4-day hybrid in-office schedule and supports a 24/7 retail operation. Occasional after-hours, weekend, or holiday support may be needed based on business needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support store leadership to create and own a positive candidate experience while implementing recruitment, staffing and retention strategies aligned with business objectives Engage and communicate with hiring managers in a positive, collaborative manner while building rapport and serving as a subject matter expert to coach and guide leaders through the talent acquisition process Partner with HR People Partners (Business Partners), to support recruiting efforts and establish as well as sustain community partnerships that support talent acquisition strategies Proactively source talent using various recruiting initiatives, networks, and specialized programs to identify qualified passive candidates Assist hiring manager with prescreening and present qualified candidates for consideration Partner with Sr. Talent Acquisition Partner on challenging roles
Role Requirements:
This role is cell phone stipend eligible and supports an 24/7 operation. Occasional after-hours, weekend, or holiday work may be required to respond to urgent issues or service calls.
Qualifications:
Education Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or Communication preferred; an associate degree will also be considered.
Qualifications:
Experience 1+ years of experience in recruitment, preferably in a retail convenience store environment Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Experience with social networking and internet vehicles and tools, such as search engines, social media, blogs, job boards and job postings. Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and various technologies to support recruiting processes.

Compensation & Benefits Pay Range:
$62,000-$72,000/year DOE and Bonus Opportunities The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Maverik considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
