General Public - G Job Duties Virginia Energy is seeking a qualified candidate to ensure mineral resource extraction is conducted in an environmentally sound manner and is in compliance with Virginia mineral extraction and reclamation regulations by evaluating permits and coordinating technical investigations of environmental impacts to determine cause and remedy. This position also ensures compliance with Virginia water control regulations and prepares NPDES permits. Virginia Energy's mission is to lead the Commonwealth to a safe, reliable and responsible energy future with greater emphasis on renewable energy programs and economic development, as well as implement the Virginia's Energy Plan to ensure the Commonwealth has abundant, reliable, affordable and clean energy.   • Extensive knowledge of hydrologic principles and practices
  • Proficiency in computer operations and computer mapping
  • Working knowledge of mineral resource extraction practices
  • Demonstrated ability to apply hydrologic principles, conduct technical investigations, and determine if environmental or hydrologic problems are mineral extraction related
