All students are welcome to apply, but we prefer students at least one year away from completing their studies at CityU to avoid quick turnovers.Job Summary:
Provides administrative and peer support for international student recruitment. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Act as a resource for new and current international students, providing support, guidance, and information about campus resources, policies, and student life. Assist with the onboarding process, such as orientation programs, campus tours, and settling into university life. Help international students integrate into the campus community through engagement activities and social events. Respond to emails, inquiries, and concerns from prospective or current international students. Help plan and execute events such as welcome luncheons and any other events on campus. Offer peer-to-peer guidance to help students overcome cultural, academic, and social challenges.Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be a current CityU student in good academic standing, typically with an international background or strong intercultural experience. Proficient in English, with additional language skills considered an asset. An understanding of and respect for diverse cultures and perspectives. Familiar with campus resources, programs, and student services. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Comfortable engaging with diverse groups and individuals.Preferred Skills:
Leadership and mentoring skills. Event planning and organizational experience. Intercultural communication and problem-solving abilities. Networking and public speaking skills.Additional Information:
Physical Demands:
While preforming the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, stoop or bend, talk, reach, use repetitive motion of hands/wrists, sit, grasp or handle, hear, feel, and walk. The employee must occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 20 pounds.Working Conditions:
Work is generally performed indoors in a typical office setting.Hours:
This is a part-time (11 hours per week) student position.Salary:
