Job Title:
Recruiting Assistant Job Description The Recruiting Assistant will support the Human Resources team by sourcing candidates, conducting initial phone screens, and coordinating interview logistics across multiple departments including engineering, operations (assembly, warehouse, machine shop), and accounting. This fixed-term role, expected to last 12 months, is designed to provide critical support to the HR team, enabling them to focus on broader HR initiatives while maintaining a strong hiring pipeline. Responsibilities Conduct resume mining through the HRIS, LinkedIn Recruiter, and Indeed to build strong candidate pipelines. Compare resumes to job descriptions to determine alignment and suitability. Generate and maintain qualified candidate pools for high-volume roles and select entry-level professional roles. Narrow candidate pools to top prospects for HR review. Conduct 5-10 phone screens per day using established phone-screen guides. Assess candidate fit, communication skills, and alignment with company culture. Document screening results and recommend next steps to HR partners. Schedule interviews, ensuring alignment between HR team members, hiring leaders, and candidates. Serve as the administrative point of contact for interview logistics. Support onboarding tasks as needed, including preparing materials and coordinating pre-employment requirements. Manage candidate workflow and dispositioning within the HRIS (Ceridian). Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance standards. Support process improvements to streamline recruiting operations. Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-moving recruiting environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word). Familiarity with applicant tracking systems preferred; Ceridian experience a plus. Work Environment The work schedule offers flexible start times between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM, with core hours from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Full benefits are provided during the fixed-term assignment, and you will make a meaningful impact by helping the HR team regain capacity. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Sheboygan Falls, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
