Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Recruiting to join our team. This role reports directly to the Senior Director of Recruiting and plays a key role in maintaining operational continuity, team cohesion, and recruiting leadership support. The Director will be expected to maintain regular presence in nearby offices. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends recruiting operations, requisition strategy, and team oversight. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable working directly with recruiters and project managers, while managing processes and performance through a metrics-driven lens. Responsibilities:
Oversee end-to-end requisition management, ensuring accurate job requests are validated and assigned to recruiters promptly. Develop and implement sourcing strategies to proactively fill current openings and build talent pipelines for future needs. Lead recruitment planning, screening, interviewing, and candidate selection processes. Ensure a positive and engaging candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle. Support recruiters during high-volume or surge periods by stepping into operational gaps as needed. Directly manage and support the recruiting leadership team, ensuring clarity of goals, balanced workload distribution, and high performance. Lead onboarding and training for new recruiters and recruitment support staff, fostering consistency and excellence across the team. Conduct regular team meetings to align on goals, monitor progress, and reinforce operational priorities. Coach team members and oversee ongoing development and retention efforts across the recruitment function. Serve as a strategic liaison between the recruiting team and operational/business leaders to align staffing priorities with organizational goals. Partner closely with Account Partners, Project Managers, and field operations to ensure fulfillment targets are met and service continuity is maintained. Collaborate with leaders across subsidiary companies to customize recruiting processes that support each entity while ensuring organizational consistency and compliance. Identify and resolve process bottlenecks to improve efficiency and recruiter effectiveness. Maintain visibility into the candidate pipeline, leveraging real-time data to track progress and make informed decisions. Ensure all recruitment activities are compliant with contracts, state licensing, OFCCP, and other regulatory requirements. Create consistencies across business units to reduce risk and standardize recruiting workflows. Monitor and report on key recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, interview-to-offer ratios, pipeline health) to guide team performance and decision-making. Analyze trends to identify areas for improvement and recommend strategic changes to leadership. Provide regular updates to leadership on recruiting performance, staffing gaps, and forecasted needs. Lead employment branding initiatives, including the creation of content and campaigns to attract top talent. Organize or participate in career fairs, industry events, and assessment centers to expand visibility and attract qualified candidates. Manage the recruitment budget, ensuring strategic allocation of advertising and sourcing resources for maximum ROI. Oversee relationships with external vendors, job boards, and recruitment partners to ensure service quality and alignment with hiring goals. Qualifications :
5-10 years of progressive leadership experience in talent acquisition, with a strong background in full-cycle recruiting, sourcing, and onboarding. Deep understanding of recruitment compliance standards, including I-9 documentation, E-Verify, employment eligibility, and other regulatory requirements. Prior experience in high-volume staffing, ideally within public-sector or contract-based environments. Exposure to airport-based recruiting operations, including familiarity with security badging and onboarding processes, is strongly preferred. Demonstrated success in managing recruitment across multiple geographic locations and business units. Technical & Systems Proficiency Proficient in using CRM and applicant tracking systems (e.g., Salesforce or similar platforms) to manage candidate pipelines and requisition workflows. Comfortable with recruitment technology, job boards, social media platforms, and digital sourcing tools. Strong computer literacy with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems quickly. Leadership & Strategic Capabilities Proven ability to lead recruiting teams, drive measurable goals, and execute staffing strategies that align with business objectives. Proven success supervising and motivating staff across multiple cities or regions. Experienced in training and coaching recruiters, managing performance, and overseeing recruitment operations from a strategic perspective. Capable of overseeing recruitment budgets and vendor relationships to maximize ROI. Interpersonal & Communication Skills Outstanding written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities. Approachable, collaborative, and team-oriented with strong relationship-building skills across all levels of the organization. A motivational leader with a positive, upbeat demeanor who fosters a high-performing and supportive team environment. Problem Solving & Time Management Highly organized, with exceptional time-management skills and the ability to balance competing priorities. Analytical and data-driven, with the ability to use metrics and reporting to identify trends and optimize recruiting performance. Creative, resourceful, and self-motivated—constantly seeking ways to improve both individual performance and team effectiveness. Additional Requirements Willingness to travel regularly to support regional operations, oversee transitions, and maintain field visibility.
