We are seeking an experienced Director of Talent Acquisition to lead and strengthen our recruiting operation within the industrial construction and skilled-trades industry. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for the performance, development, and accountability of the recruiting department. The Director will be expected to improve recruiting production, strengthen candidate sourcing, develop the recruiting team, establish measurable performance standards, and ensure the organization consistently has access to qualified talent. We are looking for someone who has successfully led high-volume recruiting at scale and understands how to build a recruiting operation that is proactive, measurable, accountable, and results-driven. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, develop, and hold the recruiting team accountable for performance. Establish clear daily, weekly, and monthly recruiting goals and expectations. Increase the volume of qualified candidates, completed interviews, hires, and successful starts. Evaluate recruiter performance and provide coaching, training, and corrective direction when necessary. Establish and manage recruiter scorecards, KPIs, and performance reporting. Develop proactive candidate pipelines for high-demand and difficult-to-fill positions. Evaluate and improve job postings, candidate sourcing, and recruiting campaigns. Maximize recruiting platforms including Indeed, social media, skilled-trade job boards, referrals, direct sourcing, and other recruiting channels. Develop additional candidate sources and continuously evaluate the effectiveness of each recruiting channel. Improve candidate follow-up, interview completion rates, and the overall recruiting process. Identify where candidates are being lost throughout the recruiting funnel and implement solutions. Conduct effective recruiting production meetings focused on measurable results and accountability. Work closely with executive leadership and operations to understand current and anticipated workforce requirements. Ensure recruiting efforts remain proactive and aligned with company needs. Recommend and implement recruiting technology, processes, and systems that improve productivity and results. How Success Will Be Measured The Director will be responsible for developing and managing measurable recruiting performance, including: Qualified candidate flow Interviews scheduled and completed Candidate quality Hires and successful starts Recruiter productivity Candidate conversion rates No-shows and candidate fallout Effectiveness of recruiting sources Ability to consistently meet workforce requirements Qualifications Proven leadership experience in high-volume recruiting or talent acquisition. Demonstrated success managing and developing a team of recruiters. Strong understanding of recruiting KPIs, scorecards, conversion rates, and performance management. Proven ability to increase candidate flow and recruiting production. Experience developing proactive sourcing strategies and candidate pipelines. Strong knowledge of online recruiting platforms, social recruiting, direct sourcing, and other high-volume recruiting methods. Ability to evaluate recruiting performance, identify problems, and implement solutions quickly. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and decision-making skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly accountable environment. Preferred Experience Minimum of 5-10 years of progressive recruiting and talent acquisition experience, with significant experience in a recruiting leadership or management role. Demonstrated experience leading high-volume recruiting operations and managing recruiting teams. Experience in one or more of the following is strongly preferred: Industrial construction Electrical construction Skilled trades Construction or skilled-trade staffing Traveling workforces Multi-state recruiting High-volume hourly/W-2 recruiting Building or scaling recruiting operations Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a proven recruiting leader and operator, not simply an administrator. We are looking for someone who knows how to evaluate a recruiting department, identify opportunities for improvement, develop recruiters, strengthen sourcing, establish accountability, and drive measurable results. The right person will have experience operating at a high level and will be comfortable taking ownership of recruiting performance from candidate sourcing through successful employee start.
