Job Description

We are currently looking for a Director of Recruiting to join our West Des Moines Office! The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Driver Recruiting. This position is responsible for successfully Recruiting and Onboarding Drivers to the Company by planning, designing, and implementing programs to recruit qualified Class A Drivers in order to meet established company objectives and to sustain a minimal turnover rate of existing Drivers. Great full-time first shift schedule of Monday-Friday 7am-5pm! A day in the life of a Decker Director of Recruiting looks like: Managing a team of Driver Recruiters and Processors at a high level Communicating with Operation Managers regarding recruiting needs, job specifications, qualifications and skills required of candidates Assisting with Communications and Social Media efforts to target Driver Applicants and Workforce Working with ad agencies that target Drivers and create a steady flow of qualified applicants Compiling and analyzing data to make recommendations regarding the most cost-efficient advertising sources to utilize for recruiting Creating and Designing advertisements in trade publications and other print media Coaching and training recruiters to qualify, sell and close Drivers over the phone and electronic communications Leading the process to ensure candidates understand the position and meet qualifications; approving applicants for hire Creating a positive hiring and onboarding experience for Driver candidates Ensuring all necessary documentation is obtained for DOT Driver files Assisting in a wide array of pre and post orientation Driver retention issues Working with internal departments to answer Driver questions, Driver concerns, and/or resolve issues Researching, planning and organizing new and creative recruiting strategies to keep up with and stay ahead of industry trends Providing reports to the Management Team detailing recruiting efforts Developing relationships with local driving schools, unemployment offices, and military installations as additional sources of applicants Monitoring pay stability and overall satisfaction of driver competitive pay Must be willing to travel to our Fort Dodge Headquarters on an as-needed basis Other duties as assigned Director of Recruiting Must Haves Minimum of a high school diploma or GED 4 year degree in a business field preferred Expert knowledge of the internet and Microsoft Office software Logistics experience/knowledge of trucking industry 3-5 years job related experience required Previous Supervisory experience in a Transportation environment Director of Recruiting Nice to Haves Experience with Tenstreet and McLeod systems is a plus.
