- Recruiting and Staffing is a great opportunity for the person looking to impact and support the City's workforce in service to our community. Responsibilities of Position As the HR Supervisor
- Recruiting and Staffing, you will supervises and lead a team of two HR Specialists in the daily operations of the department in the areas of civilian and sworn recruitment and selection, classification, compensation, human resources information systems (HRIS), training, Equal Employment Opportunity, and special projects supporting talent acquisition at the City.
Expected duties include:
- Leading the development and implementation of process and systems improvements to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance.
- Guiding staff in solving complex or unique recruiting and staffing questions or situations.
- Overseeing purchases, expenditures, HRIS, data collection/analysis, and reporting.
- Knowledge of applicable employment laws, statutes, and other regulations. Preferred Qualifications Professional public sector or municipal human resources work experience. Master's degree or HR certification (SHRM, PSHRA, or HRCI).
- Ability to interpret and apply union contract provisions and/or human resource policies.
- Experience with public safety recruitment and promotional testing. Drug screening and criminal background check will be required. The annual starting salary range is $80,082
- $91,167, DOQ, plus an excellent fringe benefits package.
