Job Description

Hawley Homecare is seeking an experienced, organized, and people-focused Human Resources & Recruiting Manager to join our growing team in Albuquerque. This is a hands-on position for an HR professional who enjoys building strong teams, supporting employees, improving workplace culture, and creating the structure and accountability necessary for a successful organization. The HR & Recruiting Manager will oversee the day-to-day human resources functions of Hawley Homecare while also taking an active role in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and supporting our growing caregiver workforce. We are looking for someone who can balance two important responsibilities: protecting the company through sound HR practices and compliance while also making Hawley Homecare a great place for employees to work. Key Responsibilities Human Resources & Employee Relations The HR & Recruiting Manager will oversee and implement the company's HR-related activities, including: Employee relations, coaching, counseling, and workplace concerns Corrective and disciplinary actions Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) Documentation and tracking of employee corrective actions Development, implementation, and maintenance of employee job descriptions Development and implementation of HR policies and procedures Employee handbook and policy administration Employee performance and accountability processes Unemployment claims and related documentation Workers' compensation claims and coordination Employee personnel documentation and recordkeeping Employee communications regarding HR updates, policy changes, expectations, and company initiatives Supporting management with employee performance and workplace issues Promoting a professional, respectful, safe, supportive, and enjoyable work environment Recruiting & Onboarding This position will also play a critical role in ensuring Hawley Homecare maintains the staffing levels necessary to serve our clients.
Responsibilities include:
Actively recruiting qualified caregivers and other company personnel Managing job postings and recruiting pipelines Screening applicants and conducting interviews Coordinating pre-employment requirements Completing and tracking the onboarding process Maintaining communication with candidates throughout the hiring process Working closely with Operations and Scheduling to transition new caregivers into active client assignments Tracking newly hired caregivers to ensure they are being scheduled and successfully integrated into the workforce Monitoring recruiting and hiring metrics Identifying opportunities to improve employee recruitment and retention Our goal is not simply to hire employees—we want to hire the right people, get them working, support their success, and give them reasons to stay. Compliance & Documentation The HR & Recruiting Manager will help ensure Hawley Homecare maintains strong HR practices and complies with applicable employment requirements.
Responsibilities include:
Monitoring compliance with applicable federal and state employment requirements Supporting compliance with Department of Labor requirements Maintaining accurate and organized employee records Ensuring required employment documentation is completed and maintained Reviewing HR practices and recommending improvements Helping management consistently apply company policies and procedures Maintaining appropriate documentation for disciplinary actions, coaching, performance concerns, and employee separations Qualifications We are seeking a candidate with professional HR experience and a strong understanding of employee relations, recruiting, documentation, and workplace compliance.
Preferred qualifications include:
Previous Human Resources and/or recruiting experience Experience handling employee relations and corrective action Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices Strong recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and documentation skills Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization Strong judgment, accountability, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with company leadership and operations SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or other recognized Human Resources certifications will be seriously considered and are highly desirable. Experience within home care, healthcare, staffing, or another high-volume employee environment is a plus. $62,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
