ABOUT THE ROLE
Faithful Transport is seeking a confident, hands-on York Depot Manager to lead the daily operations and overall performance of our York, PA depot. This is a significant leadership role for someone who is organized, accountable, solution-oriented, and comfortable making decisions. The Depot Manager is responsible for ensuring the York operation is safely staffed, efficiently routed, financially sound, professionally operated, and meeting the needs of our school district partners. You will lead a team of approximately 50-80 employees across drivers, dispatchers, recruiters, trainers, and administrative staff while working closely with the General Manager to strengthen operations, develop employees, solve problems, and grow the business. This is an ownership role. We are looking for someone who doesn't wait to be told what needs to be done, but instead identifies problems, finds solutions, follows through, and takes pride in the success of the entire depot.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead all aspects of operations: routing, billing, dispatch, safety, training, fleet operations and maintenance, compliance, recruiting, and administration.
Inspire and coach your team:
conduct regular check-ins, deliver feedback, and build strong development plans.
Partner with school districts:
ensure satisfaction, solve problems, and grow the relationships.
Champion recruiting and retention:
maintain coverage across all routes and build a pipeline of talent.
Own performance:
manage budgets, complete monthly billing, and report results with accuracy and transparency. Maintain accurate fleet records, including mileage, maintenance, inspections, repairs, and other required documentation.
Step in when needed:
be ready to fill in for any position when the shift is open (ie: driver, dispatcher, aide, trainer, HR, etc.) Represent the company: attend school board meetings, build and foster positive relationships with existing and new school districts, and help shape public perception.
