Director Human Resources Position Summary The Talent Acquisition & Talent Management Manager is a player-coach role responsible for executing full-cycle recruiting while also owning recruiting strategy, processes, metrics, and supporting select talent management initiatives. This position partners closely with the HR Director and business leaders to ensure the organization attracts, selects, and develops talent aligned with business needs and company culture. This role combines hands-on recruiting execution with strategic partnership and process ownership, making it ideal for a growing organization without enterprise-wide global complexity. Key Responsibilities Talent Acquisition & Full-Cycle Recruiting Personally manage full-cycle recruiting for hourly, operations, professional, and leadership roles as needed. Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements, workforce needs, and hiring timelines. Develop job descriptions, post roles, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, manage offers, and support onboarding. Source candidates through multiple channels including job boards, social media, referrals, career fairs, community outreach, and networking. Build and maintain candidate pipelines to support current and future hiring needs. Recruiting Strategy & Workforce Planning Own and execute recruiting strategies aligned with business goals and workforce plans. Advise leaders on talent availability, market conditions, recruiting timelines, and hiring risks. Balance short-term hiring demands with longer-term talent pipeline development. Partner with HR Director to anticipate future talent needs and skill requirements. Recruiting Process, Systems & Compliance Own and optimize recruiting processes to improve efficiency, consistency, candidate experience, and outcomes. Manage and maintain the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and related recruiting tools. Ensure recruiting activities comply with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies. Manage relationships with external recruiting vendors and agencies as needed. Talent Management Support Partner with the HR Director to support talent management initiatives, including performance effectiveness and capability development. Provide input on workforce strengths, gaps, and development needs based on recruiting and hiring insights. Support hiring managers with coaching related to talent decisions, interview effectiveness, and selection quality. Reinforce consistent talent standards that support a high-performance culture. Metrics, Insights & Continuous Improvement Track and analyze recruiting metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, source effectiveness, candidate flow). Use recruiting data and insights to inform decisions, improve processes, and highlight risks or opportunities. Provide regular recruiting updates and insights to HR leadership. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across recruiting practices and tools. Employer Branding & Stakeholder Partnership Promote the organization's employer brand through job fairs, community involvement, school partnerships, and outreach activities. Establish and maintain relationships with local colleges, technical schools, and community organizations. Serve as a trusted recruiting partner to hiring leaders, delivering guidance and consistency. Qualifications & Experience 5+ years of talent acquisition experience, including full-cycle recruiting. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred. Experience operating in a hands-on, player-coach role highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to manage recruiting programs, processes, and priorities independently. Experience recruiting for a mix of hourly, operations, professional, and leadership roles preferred. Strong working knowledge of ATS platforms and recruiting technologies. General understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws related to recruiting. Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills. Ability to balance tactical execution with strategic thinking in a growing organization.
