About the Team Alaska Behavioral Health is Alaska's largest outpatient behavioral health provider and a center for excellence in both the delivery of evidence-based treatment and training. Alaska Behavioral Health is one of the nation's few National Child Traumatic Stress Network's combined Category III treatment centers (The Alaska Child Trauma Center) and Category II, training and technical assistance centers (Rural Child Trauma Center). Alaska Behavioral Health's statewide Mental Health Awareness and Training program provides training statewide to increase awareness and improve services. Through these programs, Alaska Behavioral Health serves as a hub for behavioral health training statewide and nationally with a particular focus on trauma treatment for children and adults; services for veterans, service members, and their families; services in rural areas; evidence-based treatments; and peer support services What You'll Do The Training Director at Alaska Behavioral Health manages multiple training initiatives with statewide and national impact. Last year our training initiatives operated with roughly $1 million worth of training operations, reaching almost 10,000 participants. The Training Director works with an internal team of content experts in behavioral health and external national experts in behavioral health treatment to provide both external facing training (2 or more conferences per year, multiple learning communities, several dozen training events) and internal clinical training using an implementation science approach. The Training Director supports the ongoing professional development of AKBH staff to implement best practices and evidence-based treatment. Good To Know Position is based in Anchorage, Wasilla or Fairbanks, Alaska Full-Time, Non-Exempt Pay Range is $80,500 to $103,320 depending on experience (Eligible for up to $39,000 in incentive with the average being $15,000) AKBH offers generous benefits including two healthcare options for employees and their dependent children, 401k with immediate vesting and up to 5% match, 3% automatically contributed by AKBH, and 5 weeks of PTO for the first year, and 8 weeks of PTO after the first year. What We Need from You Bachelor's degree or 5 years' experience in education/training development/coordination. Work within the behavioral health system or other health care system preferred.
