$85,000-$100,000 per year A growing manufacturing organization in Manchester, IA is seeking a Manufacturing Training & Development Manager to lead employee onboarding, workforce training, skills development, and compliance training across the organization. This position will partner with department managers and leaders to develop effective training programs that improve employee performance, safety, quality, productivity, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has experience in training and development, learning and development (L&D), employee onboarding, or manufacturing training. This is a direct hire opportunity. Meaning the right fit candidate will go directly onto the hiring company's payroll and be eligibile for their benefits package. Key Responsibilities Lead company-wide employee training and development programs. Develop and coordinate new hire onboarding schedules, training plans, and checklists. Deliver onboarding and job-specific training for employees across multiple departments. Conduct skills assessments and evaluate employee readiness through hands-on observation. Develop ongoing technical skills and production training programs. Provide training related to manufacturing processes, equipment, quality, safety, and standard operating procedures. Develop and coordinate OSHA and workplace safety training, including PPE, overhead crane operation, hazard identification, and other compliance requirements. Maintain employee training records, certifications, and compliance documentation. Coordinate training for new equipment, technology, processes, tooling, and system changes. Partner with Operations, Engineering, HR, and department leaders to identify training needs. Evaluate training effectiveness using assessments, employee observations, and performance metrics. Create and maintain training materials, SOPs, job aids, work instructions, and e-learning content. Provide direction and light oversight to trainers and training coordinators. Promote a strong culture of employee development, workplace safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business, Organizational Development, Training & Development, or a related field required. 3-5 years of experience in training, learning and development, employee development, HR training, or a related role. Experience developing and delivering training programs across multiple departments. Strong presentation, communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Manufacturing experience strongly preferred. Experience with welding, metal fabrication, assembly, production, or industrial manufacturing is a plus. Experience with OSHA compliance, safety training, or regulatory training preferred. Train-the-Trainer or OSHA 30 certification preferred. Ability to work in both an office and manufacturing/production environment. Apply Today!
