Job Overview The Training Director is responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering the Bank's training initiatives with an emphasis on core system training and employee development. This position serves as the Bank's subject matter expert and trainer for the Jack Henry core operating system while partnering with department leaders to develop standardized training materials, coordinate learning opportunities, track training completion, and support employee growth. As the Bank's training function continues to evolve, the Training Director will play an important role in expanding learning programs, leadership development initiatives, and fostering a culture of continuous learning throughout the organization. Essential ResponsibilitiesTraining Program Development Develop and maintain the Bank's annual training calendar. Create standardized training programs and learning materials for employees across all departments. Develop manuals, job aids, presentations, quick reference guides, and other instructional resources. Review and update training materials to reflect operational, procedural, and system changes. Identify opportunities to improve employee knowledge and training effectiveness. Core Systems Training Serve as the Bank's primary trainer and subject matter expert for the Jack Henry core operating system. Develop role-based training programs for new hires and existing employees. Deliver instructor-led, virtual, and one-on-one training sessions. Coordinate training related to system upgrades, enhancements, and new functionality. Partner with Retail Banking, Deposit Operations, Lending, Operations, and Information Technology to ensure training materials remain current and accurate. Assist departments in documenting procedures and best practices related to the core system. Employee Development Support new employee onboarding and orientation. Assist managers in identifying employee development opportunities. Help develop career learning paths and professional development resources. Participate in the development of future leadership training initiatives. Promote a culture of continuous learning and employee growth. Training Administration & Reporting Maintain training records and learning management resources. Track employee participation and completion of assigned training. Measure training effectiveness through assessments, employee feedback, and operational performance. Prepare reports summarizing training activities, completion rates, and program effectiveness. Recommend improvements based on training results and organizational needs. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Partner with department leaders to identify training needs and operational challenges. Support organizational change initiatives through effective communication and training. Stay current on banking trends, Jack Henry enhancements, and adult learning best practices. Participate in special projects as assigned. Qualifications/Education Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Education, Banking, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered. Experience One to three years of experience designing and delivering employee training programs required. Banking experience preferred. Experience with the Jack Henry core system or another financial institution core processing system required. Experience developing training materials, job aids, procedures, or instructional documentation preferred. Experience presenting to groups and facilitating adult learning. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong presentation and facilitation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to explain technical processes in a clear and practical manner. Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to build relationships and collaborate across all areas of the Bank. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly. Strong attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement.
