Key Responsibilities The Manager of Employer Partnerships is responsible for developing, managing, and expanding relationships between the 8-Parish Workforce Development Area and regional employers. This role ensures alignment between employer workforce needs and workforce system services, including recruitment, training, and talent pipeline development. The Manager plays a key role in driving business engagement strategies that support sector partnerships, work-based learning opportunities, and economic growth within the service area. Employer Engagement & Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and regional employers across key industry sectors
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employers seeking workforce solutions
- Conduct employer outreach to identify hiring needs, skills gaps, and training demands
- Coordinate regular employer meetings, and host community events
- Coordinate efforts across internal teams to ensure seamless employer services
- Deliver presentations and training related to employer engagement strategies
- Facilitate connections between employers and training providers, education partners, and job seekers Business Services Strategy
- Lead implementation of the region's business services strategy; Align employer needs with available workforce programs
- Collaborate with workforce system partners to deliver integrated services to employers
- Identify opportunities to expand services such as on-the-job training (OJT), customized training, apprenticeships, and incumbent worker training
- Build and support industry sector partnerships that address workforce challenges
- Develop strategies to assist employers with HR related concerns.
- Collaborate with economic development organizations, chambers of commerce, and community partners
- Participate in regional workforce planning and economic development initiatives Data Tracking & Reporting
- Track employer engagement activities, placements, and outcomes
- Manage business services CRM system
- Analyze labor market information and employer feedback to guide strategy
- Prepare reports on employer engagement metrics and program performance
- Implement strategies to increase region's business services metrics
- Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, workforce development, public administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3-5 years of experience in business services, workforce development, economic development, or related field.
Skills /Abilities Strong critical thinking skills, familiarity with Federal grant procedures and administrative requirements, excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, strong attention to detail, ability to relate to a diverse range of stakeholders, ability to work independently and balance multiple responsibilities, proficiency in-office computer, and Microsoft Office software. Experience with and knowledge of federal workforce development programs and/or employment and training programs preferred.
