Job Description
The Director of Learning and Development is responsible for the overall assessment, development and coordination of centralized training and professional development opportunities across CHD. The Director will work closely with program and divisional leaders and training coordinators to ensure that corporate and program-required trainings are offered and completed, that tracking and recording of training activity is consistent and reportable, and that opportunities for evidence-based clinical and enhanced management trainings position CHD as a learning organization. The Director reports to the Vice President of Human Resources. Assess training needs across the agency and develop plans to address those needs Utilize instructional design approach focusing on improving performance and skill development Provide oversight and coordination of centralized health and safety training programs including MAP, CPR, First Aid, Safety Care, Mental Health First Aid, and crisis prevention Provide oversight and coordination of centralized clinical and management training Ensure that necessary CEs are in place for relevant trainings Conduct clinical and management training as relevant and necessary Evaluate and monitor the quality and effectiveness of training programs Provide oversight and administrative responsibility for Relias, CHD's learning management system Leverage the Relias software to be a centralized repository for all agency-wide and programmatic trainings Lead the agency's Learning and Development Advisory Committee Coordinate and oversee all activities at CHD Training Center Provide supervision to all L&D staff including internal training specialists, learning technologist, and nurse trainers Liaison with external training resources as necessary Qualifications and requirements: Bachelor's Degree in related field required; Master's Degree preferred Three to five years of varied training experience in management and/or behavioral health field Instructional design experience strongly preferred Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Demonstrated understanding of health, behavioral health, social service systems Technological proficiency; use of Articulate 360 preferred Ability to work independently and manage large projects Salary range: $85,000 - $95,000 annually Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
