We are looking to hire an Site Training Manager for our Hunt Valley Plant.

    Under the direction of the CI Manager/Site TPM Leader, this position is a critical leader of the Journey to Excellence; the integration of High Performance Work Systems (HPWS) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) at the Site.

The Training Manager is the system owner for the Site Training & Development program, as well as the Leader of the Training & Development (T&D) Pillar Responsibilities Training & Development System Owner Partner with the plant leadership team to determine training needs that will drive manufacturing excellence for the facility

Design, development, and implementation of the training strategy and program structure that is integrated with the Journey to Excellence (identify site level training losses, define training objectives, develop and deliver training solutions that address employee development needs and business priorities)

Partner with key leaders in the organization to design and develop (or update) Technician Work System which will be used as a basis across the region

Support the Technician Work System by establishing a site level qualification process and providing on-going governance to process

Develop and implement training standards and measures that support the vision of self-sufficient teams

Ensure the implementation and effectiveness of an on-boarding and early development program and early development for new employees

Determine instructional methods such as individual training, group instructions, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings and workshops. Select or develop teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works

Primary support of new technologies as they become available, coordinating and preparing training schedules to accommodate facility needs

Evaluate training effectiveness; assess quality and success of program and share feedback to validate effectiveness

Control the training expenses and manage expenditures to meet the training needs

Manage site or department training leaders

Ownership of the Training and Development Systems

Lead and develop direct reports Regional T&D Pillar Team Participant Actively partner with other Site Training Managers on the Regional T&D Pillar team to support HPO Work Systems implementation

Provide framework for overarching training methodologies through standardization with other functions (HR, Safety, and Quality) to create regional training standards

Determine learning management system solution that will meet the needs of the manufacturing sites and JTE

Support the development of robust curriculum for both operational and soft skills Regional T&D Pillar Team Participant Actively partner with other Site Training Managers on the Regional T&D Pillar team to support HPO Work Systems implementation

Provide framework for overarching training methodologies through standardization with other functions (HR, Safety, and Quality) to create regional training standards

Determine learning management system solution that will meet the needs of the manufacturing sites and JTE

Support the development of robust curriculum for both operational and soft skills Qualifications Bachelors or equivalent in Business, HR, Engineering, Supply Chain, Management, OD or related or equivalent relevant experience.

A minimum of 4 years of relevant training experience, with experience developing curriculum and training materials and facilitating training courses

Experience working in a High Performance Work Systems (HPWS) and/or Self Directed Work Team environment

Experience in adult learning theory Manufacturing environment experience and understanding of supply chain. A strong understanding of TPM or lean manufacturing. Strong team, project/program management & leadership skills, presence and credibility, strong judgment, business instincts and high level of professionalism

A strong understanding of TPM or lean manufacturing. Abreast of key industry trends by participating in professional industry organizations and continue to research and understand current best approach.

Developed, polished communication and facilitation skills (written and oral)

Base Salary:

$87,910

  • $153,870 Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer.

This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick's Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan. In addition to a competitive compensation package, permanent employees of McCormick are eligible for our extensive Total Rewards programs that include:
