Job Description

Staff Development Coordinator The Orchards at Armada, located in Armada, MI, is currently seeking a Staff Development Coordinator (SDC) to join our team.
Staff Development Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities:
Plans, organizes, and conducts new hire orientation and ongoing in-service education for all departments Assigns preceptors, tracks orientation progress, and supports employees during their probationary period Coordinates required annual trainings including CNA 12-hour compliance Develops training materials, calendars, and lesson plans using adult learning principles Maintains detailed records of attendance, competencies, and training completion Collaborates with department heads to identify and address staff training needs Monitors staff performance and provides educational feedback to supervisors Ensures compliance with facility policies and state/federal training regulations Uses various methods (e.g., classroom, hands-on, online) to deliver engaging training sessions Supports implementation of new policies, procedures, and equipment training
Staff Development Coordinator Qualifications and Skills:
