This is a job opportunity located in Lansing, MI. Reporting to the Head Start/Early Head Start Program Director, the Professional Development Manager supports the Program's approach to staff training and professional development. This Manager ensures that staff are provided training opportunities to support the agency's mission and comply with the Head Start Performance Standards and Michigan Child Care Licensing Regulations. To be successful in this role, you must: Be dedicated to the CACS, Inc. Head Start and Early Childhood Program's mission statement Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services, Community Services, or equivalent Have 2 years of experience working in a human services or social services organization Have 2 years of experience facilitating or delivering training and development courses and/or classes Responsibilities include: Working with cross functional teams throughout the agency to identify new training and development opportunities and/or to improve existing training programs., Serving as a Trainer Assisting in the development of the annual training calendar Assisting in the development of the Training and Technical Assistance grants and budgets Collaborating with department managers and supervisors to develop individualized training and support plans per staff position Conducting onboarding for newly hired staff, presenting video training, MI Registry, etc. Tracking and monitoring professional development hours for all program staff Monitoring staff credential compliance plans and tracking credentials of all program staff Encouraging staff to engage in professional development and seek out opportunities for skill enhancement Facilitating trainings for course work leading to college credit and/or a CDA credential or licensing training requirements. Recommending and Coordinating contracts for outside trainers Staying current on best practices for training and development of adult learners; applying best practice to the systematic approach to training
