08/27/2026 Job Description Job Description In Service Director Join the Pomeroy Living Education Team! Pomeroy Living is seeking a dynamic and experienced In-Service Director to join our team. In this key role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the education and training programs for our employees across all departments, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities:
Develop and Deliver Training Programs:
Plan, develop, and deliver engaging and informative training programs for all levels of staff, including new hires, existing employees, and management. Ensure training programs are aligned with company policies, regulatory requirements (federal, state, and local), and best practices in long-term care.
Staff Development:
Work collaboratively with department managers, nurses, and peer groups to identify training needs and develop individualized learning plans for staff. Mentor and support staff in their professional development.
Compliance:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all employee training and certifications. Ensure compliance with all mandatory training requirements, including annual in-services and regulatory updates.
New Hire Orientation:
Assist with the onboarding process for new hires, including interviews, onboarding and orientation training and ongoing support.
Quality Assurance:
Participate in quality assurance activities related to staff training and development.
Qualifications:
Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan. Current BLS certification. At least two years of experience in staff education and development in a long-term care setting. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to skilled nursing.
