Education Director

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Education Director to lead and shape the educational strategies of our organization. This pivotal role involves developing comprehensive academic programs, overseeing educational operations, and fostering a vibrant learning environment. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for education, exceptional leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to drive continuous improvement and innovation in our educational offerings. As an Education Director, you will be instrumental in aligning educational initiatives with organizational goals, ensuring excellence in teaching and administration, and inspiring teams to achieve their fullest potential. Responsibilities Maintain Education Director Qualifications and report to the Department of Health. Supervise staff, plan trainings and workshops and participate in the hiring process along with the Site Director. Supervise all activities to ensure safety at all times. Assign and assist in conducting daily health checks for all enrolled children attending the center. Plan, supervise and implement an educational curriculum for the site in accordance with the policies and the philosophy of Diki. Maintain progress records of each child's growth and development, prepare periodic reports, and review with the Site Director, as well as parents and/or legal guardians. Participate in recommended training programs, conferences, courses, and other aspects of professional growth, maintaining current knowledge of early childhood practice. Effectively train, supervise, and utilize classroom assistants and primary floaters. Plan and implement methods of establishing a positive liaison with families. Communicate frequently with families informally, with periodic notes and verbal communication as well as a Monthly Newsletter. Create monthly school calendars and newsletters for the center to inform families of planned educational activities. Promote leadership development within the team by providing mentorship, professional growth opportunities, and fostering a culture of innovation. Skills Special Education Certification a plus Bilingual a plus Microsoft/Computer Efficient Experience managing group of 15+ people Must be able to lift up to 50lbs You must be willing to undergo fingerprinting and background checks as per the NYC Department of Health regulations. You must also be open to the idea of teaching inside the classroom time to time. Proven management experience with the ability to lead diverse teams toward shared goals. Demonstrate leadership capabilities with a focus on inspiring teams and driving organizational success. Pay:

$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
