Job Description

Who we are: Established in 1991, The Anderson-DuBose Company is a full-service distribution company for major quick service restaurants in Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, New York, Florida, Georgia, and soon in Tennessee. We currently have three distribution center locations; Lordstown, Ohio (Headquarters), Rochester, New York, and Jacksonville, Florida, and are always looking for growth opportunities. June 2026 we will also be opening a new DC in Jefferson City, TN. Transportation and Warehouse are the two largest departments at each DC and typically operate 24/7. We own and operate our own truck fleet, have state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, and consider our employees our greatest assets. SCOPE OF POSITION
Under the supervision of the Human Resources Managers, the Training and Development Specialist will create, develop, implement, and conduct training and development programs for AD associates. This position assesses associates' developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable training solutions for associates. This position actively searches, creatively designs and implements effective methods to educate, enhance performance and recognize performance from new hire training to training for succession in each department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(Other Duties May Be Assigned): Creates and implements new hire training for each functional role and follows up on timelines with trainees and management that is complete, consistent and detailed for each functional role. Designs and creates instructional materials, including online learning modules, training manuals, and course content. Conducts need assessments by consulting with managers and surveying employees to identify skill gaps and learning opportunities. Facilitates and delivers training programs to employees using a variety of formats and instructional techniques. Evaluates the effectiveness of training programs by measuring outcomes and gathering feedback to inform future adjustments. Manages the logistical aspects of training, such as scheduling sessions, coordinating enrollment, and overseeing training budgets. Collaborates with subject matter experts to ensure the accuracy and relevance of training content for specific departmental needs. Administers and manages the organization's learning management system (LMS) and other training technologies. Develop reports on training activities and progress to provide insights into employee development in management. Ensures that the Performance Review Process and Development Actions Plans are done according to our company policy. Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization. Works effectively as a team member with other members of management and the HR staff. Completes all other duties, as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of five years of experience designing and implementing employee development programs. Language Skills
