Job Description

M&M Industries is a U.S.-based manufacturer of plastic pails and packaging solutions. We operate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where safety, quality, and operational performance are critical to success. The Production Manager plans, organizes, and controls production to ensure goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, and to standard. This role directly oversees all manufacturing supervisors and is responsible for driving performance across safety, quality, productivity, and cost. Key Responsibilities Implement and control the production schedule in coordination with planners, maintenance, tooling, and processing teams Review and adjust production schedules as needed Develop and sustain KPIs that drive results across Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost Control Manage human and material resources to meet production targets Make decisions regarding equipment use, maintenance, modification, and procurement Implement standard operating procedures for production operations Ensure standard operating procedures are followed and adhered to Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures Set product quality standards Monitor quality standards of products Implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives Analyze production and quality data to detect and correct problems Determine and implement improvements to the production process Prepare and maintain production reports Monitor and review staff performance and organize necessary interventions for improvement Set production budgets Manage production budgets Implement cost control programs Ensure effective collaboration between departments Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives within the team while coaching and engaging hourly employees Maintain ownership of 5S with high standards of cleanliness and organization across all areas of responsibility Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniques Knowledge of raw materials, including usage, variances, and scrap Knowledge of quality systems and standards Knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance Knowledge of process improvement techniques Knowledge of business, finance, and management principles Knowledge of human resource principles and practices Knowledge of machines and tools Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma techniques Planning and organizing skills, including working knowledge of 5S Time management skills Attention to detail Decision-making ability Strong communication skills, both oral and written Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization Negotiation skills Influencing and leadership ability Delegation skills Teamwork and collaboration Conflict management Adaptability Stress tolerance Results-driven mindset Education Bachelor's degree preferred Experience Five (5) or more years of experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniques required Production Manager (Injection Molding) 3.1 3.1 out of 5 stars 1702 Henn Parkway, Lordstown, OH 44481 Full-time M&M Industries, Inc. 109 reviews Full-time M&M Industries is a U.S.-based manufacturer of plastic pails and packaging solutions.
