The Program Trainer will play a critical role in onboarding, training, coaching, and developing Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to ensure exceptional care, compliance, and staff success across programs throughout Berks County. This position is ideal for a passionate trainer, mentor, or human services professional who enjoys helping staff grow while supporting meaningful outcomes for individuals and families.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Facilitate classroom, virtual, and hands-on training for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) Lead onboarding, orientation, and required compliance training Coach and mentor staff to support long-term success and retention Conduct refresher trainings and professional development initiatives Ensure training compliance with agency, licensing, and regulatory standards Support staff competency evaluations and documentation Travel throughout Berks County programs to support training needs Collaborate with operational leadership to strengthen workforce performance and care quality Promote person-centered care, compassion, professionalism, and best practicesQUALIFICATIONS
Prior training, coaching, staff development, or teaching experience required Experience in IDD, Behavioral Health, Human Services, Healthcare, or Nonprofit settings strongly preferred Experience working with or training Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) highly preferred Strong communication, leadership, facilitation, and organizational skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locallyWHY WORK WITH US?
