About Us British Swim School is a mission-driven swim school dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and fun environment where every swimmer can thrive. We specialize in adaptive aquatics and are committed to serving individuals of all abilities, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Position Overview We are seeking a passionate and experienced ASD Program Director to lead, develop, and oversee our adaptive swim program for individuals with autism and related needs. This role combines program development, staff training, family engagement, and hands-on support to ensure high-quality, individualized swim instruction. Key Responsibilities Program Development & Oversight Design and implement structured swim programs tailored to swimmers with ASD Develop individualized learning plans based on swimmer needs and abilities Continuously evaluate and improve program effectiveness Staff Training & Leadership Hire, train, and mentor swim instructors in adaptive teaching techniques Provide ongoing coaching on behavior management, communication strategies, and sensory accommodations Ensure staff maintain a high standard of safety and instruction Family & Community Engagement Serve as the primary point of contact for families in the ASD program Conduct intake assessments and provide progress updates Build relationships with local therapists, schools, and community organizations Operations & Safety Ensure all programming follows safety standards and best practices Manage scheduling, staffing ratios, and program logistics Maintain proper documentation and incident reporting Qualifications Degree in Special Education, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, or related field Minimum 3 years of experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder Experience in aquatics, swim instruction, or recreational therapy strongly preferred Strong knowledge of behavior strategies (ABA principles, sensory integration, etc.) Proven leadership and team management experience Excellent communication and interpersonal skills What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Opportunities for professional development and certification A supportive, mission-driven team environment The opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of swimmers and families Each franchise location is independently owned and operated by a franchisee (franchise owner).
