Staff Training Instructor, Residential Products Tesla Motors, Inc. 68,000 - 228,000 USD paid holidays, flex time, 401(k) United States, California, Hayward Aug 26, 2026 What to Expect The Tooling, Process & Training team is responsible for developing and proliferating custom service and commissioning tooling hardware to assist in the rapid development and maintenance of Tesla Energy's storage and charging solutions, along with the training of individuals on these solutions. This skilled and motivated individual will help with the creation and coordination of the new - hire training program for all residential products, helping with content creation, delivery of said content, project coordination, and acting as the liaison with the field service team. The ideal candidate has a good mix of electrical and mechanical engineering skills with passion for working in a fast-growing renewable energy company. What You'll Do Develop high-quality, engaging technical content and lab exercises on a wide variety of applications (basic and advanced) in concert with process SMEs Effectively/enthusiastically deliver equipment-specific training to Field Technicians and Engineers in classroom and field settings using a variety of presentation formats including Instructor-Led, Facilitative group learning, active hands-on learning, and functional assessments Provide comprehensive schedule management and tracking of learners completed and required training in the Tesla-specific Learning Management software system Work cross-functionally with the Training Systems and Development team to manage content storage and identify and track measures-of-success metrics What You'll Bring 10+ years of proven teaching and leading training sessions for large cohorts Practical experience in Residential technical maintenance/engineering applications Knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials used in the maintenance and repair of Residential BESS such as Powerwall and PVI products Strong analytical problem-solving skills and hands-on experience with hardware, tools, instruments, and methods applicable to field service procedures
Technology Skills:
