Duties Lead and supervise youth activities, ensuring all participants are engaged, safe, and supported in a variety of outdoor and indoor settings Implement age-appropriate curriculum for youth programs, including arts, sports, educational games, and team-building exercises Manage classroom or activity space effectively through strong classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times by maintaining first aid readiness, CPR certification, AED operation knowledge, and adherence to first aid procedures Facilitate youth group activities that promote social-emotional learning, teamwork, and leadership skills Support children with special needs by applying inclusive teaching practices and collaborating with special education staff when necessary Maintain accurate attendance records, activity logs, and incident reports while communicating effectively with team members and parents as needed Qualifications Prior experience working with children or in youth development programs is highly preferred Demonstrated ability to manage groups of children through effective child supervision and behavior management techniques Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices for engaging young learners Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, AED operation, or relevant health and safety training are required or highly desirable Experience with outdoor work environments or camp settings is a plus Strong team leadership skills combined with the ability to work independently in dynamic settings Background in childcare, daycare work, babysitting, or teaching young children enhances your suitability for this role Excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues This position is an excellent opportunity for energetic individuals passionate about youth development who want to make a difference while gaining hands-on experience in education and program facilitation.
