Position Summary The Shop Development & Facilities Officer is responsible for supporting the development, opening, and maintenance of Hyakunousha stores in the U.S. market. This role will coordinate shop design and construction projects, oversee equipment procurement and installation, manage repairs and maintenance activities, and ensure stores comply with company standards and local regulations. The successful candidate will serve as the key liaison between the Hong Kong headquarters, local contractors, landlords, consultants, and shop operations teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Shop Development & New Store Openings Coordinate all aspects of new shop development projects from site handover through grand opening. Monitor project timelines, budgets, and construction progress to ensure milestones are achieved. Liaise with landlords, architects, designers, consultants, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle. Support permit applications, inspections, licenses, and occupancy requirements as needed. Conduct site visits and provide regular project status updates to the Hong Kong management team. Ensure all stores are delivered according to approved brand standards, layouts, and specifications. Store Design & Construction Coordination Coordinate implementation of shop layouts, interior design concepts, and fit-out requirements. Review construction drawings, equipment layouts, and technical specifications. Work closely with external design consultants and contractors to resolve site-related issues. Ensure consistency of shop design and customer experience across all locations. Equipment & Asset Management Coordinate the sourcing, purchasing, delivery, installation, and commissioning of store equipment. Maintain records of equipment warranties, service contracts, and asset inventories. Work with suppliers to ensure equipment quality, functionality, and timely delivery. Support planning for equipment replacement and capital expenditure projects. Facilities Maintenance Coordinate preventive maintenance programs for stores, facilities, and equipment. Manage repair requests and maintenance schedules for operational locations. Liaise with maintenance vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely resolution of issues. Conduct routine shop inspections and recommend facility improvements. Minimize operational disruptions by proactively identifying and resolving facility-related concerns. Vendor & Contractor Management Source and evaluate contractors, suppliers, and maintenance service providers. Obtain quotations and support vendor selection processes. Monitor vendor performance, costs, and service quality. Build and maintain strong working relationships with key business partners. Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with U.S. building codes, health regulations, safety standards, and company requirements. Support workplace safety initiatives and facility risk assessments. Maintain proper documentation related to projects, permits, equipment, and maintenance activities. Reporting & Administration Track project expenditures and maintenance costs against approved budgets. Prepare project progress reports and maintenance summaries. Maintain accurate records of store development projects and facilities activities. Provide regular reporting and updates to the Shop Development Manager in Hong Kong. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Facilities Management, or a related discipline. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in store development, retail construction, facilities management, or project coordination. Experience in F&B, restaurant chains, retail, or hospitality industries is preferred. Experience supporting multiple store openings is highly desirable. Skills & Competencies Strong project coordination and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and execution capabilities. Willingness to travel locally for site visits and project monitoring. Technical Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents. Familiarity with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Bluebeam, or similar design/construction software is preferred. Knowledge of facilities systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment is an advantage. Language Requirements Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
