Job Description

Environmental & Safety Instructor - Consultant Basis CAL INC Environmental Institute is looking for experienced, confident, and reliable individuals to teach our environmental and safety courses on a consultant basis . Candidates should have relevant industry knowledge, certifications, and/or field experience in areas such as asbestos, lead, mold, environmental compliance, OSHA, or other safety-related disciplines. This is a consultant/contract instructor position , with training opportunities offered based on our course schedule and client needs. The amount of work may vary depending on training demand, and there is no guarantee of a set number of classes or hours. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality environmental and safety training and helping participants gain the knowledge and skills required to work safely and in compliance with applicable industry standards. Attendance & Punctuality:
Must be dependable and punctual, especially when teaching scheduled courses for our clients What We Offer Instructor onboarding and orientation Ongoing support from the CAL INC Training team Structured curriculum and course materials Opportunities to teach a variety of environmental and safety courses Flexible consultant-based opportunities based on course demand Responsibilities / Job Description Lead and instruct environmental and safety training courses, including but not limited to asbestos, lead, EPA, OSHA, and other compliance-related courses Deliver engaging presentations, discussions, and hands-on training activities Ensure training is clear, accurate, effective, and aligned with applicable requirements Provide support to trainees before, during, and after training sessions Work with management to prepare for scheduled courses and client-specific training needs Travel primarily to our Vacaville facility, with occasional travel to client sites throughout Northern California and very rare opportunities in Southern California Represent CAL INC professionally when working with clients and trainees Must be able to pass a drug test Qualifications Relevant industry experience, certifications, or professional background in environmental, safety, construction, abatement, or related fields Previous teaching or training experience preferred Bachelor's degree from a recognized university is preferred but not required Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to present technical information clearly and engage adult learners Detail-oriented and organized Comfortable using technology for training delivery, including presentation software and e-learning platforms Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with the CAL INC team About CAL INC Environmental Institute CAL INC Environmental Institute has been providing environmental and safety training since 1979. We are looking for experienced professionals who can bring their industry knowledge to the classroom and help us provide practical, quality training to our clients.
Consultant Basis:
Training assignments are based on client needs, instructor availability, and course schedules. This is not a guaranteed full-time position, and the number of assignments may vary.
