Development Director Position Description:
The Development and Fundraising Support Specialist provides essential support to the organization's fundraising and development efforts, helping ensure strong donor stewardship, accurate and timely donor records, and efficient development operations. Working closely with the Executive Director and Development Director, this position supports donor communications, social media and marketing, website updates, the bimonthly newsletter, database management, gift processing and acknowledgment, fundraising activities, and development-related administrative needs. The Specialist plays an important role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of donor information, coordinating details across departments, and helping create a positive and consistent experience for donors and supporters.
Required Skills and Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in administrative, development, or nonprofit support roles Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Support the organization's social media presence, including content planning, scheduling, posting, monitoring engagement, and ensuring messaging is consistent with the organization's mission, brand, fundraising priorities, and communications strategy. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace, CRM management tools, and experience with WordPress preferred Experience with data entry, reporting, and maintaining accurate financial or donor records Familiarity with design tools such as Canva for creating simple materials or graphics Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism Comfort with technology and ability to learn new platforms Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic environment Reliable transportation for occasional errands such as mail and bank runs
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Experience in fundraising, donor relations, or event coordination Experience with
Social Media Marketing:
Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn, TikTok Experience reporting and maintaining accurate financial or donor records Experience working with a CRM or donor database (experience with Neon One preferred) Ability to do basic website management (WordPress) and file management in shared drives (training available for the right candidate) Knowledge of or interest in nonprofit administration, equine-assisted services, or therapeutic riding programs Experience with event planning

Responsibilities:
Administrative Support:
Complete and accurately file bank deposits. Record deposits and maintain accurate donor and financial records in CTRC's CRM (Neon One). File donor and financial records and shred sensitive documents as needed. Assist with the compilation of newsletters and other mailings.
Development Support:
Maintain and accurately record donations in CTRC's donor database (Neon One), ensuring data integrity. Prepare and send timely donation acknowledgments. Assist with grant deliverables, general sponsorships, and event sponsorship tracking. Support fundraising campaigns, including the preparation of materials using Canva or other design tools. Assist in the coordination of all fundraising events and activities, including but not limited to soliciting corporate sponsors, gala sponsors, and auction items. Provide support at fundraising and outreach events as needed. Assist with basic web maintenance (WordPress).

Pay:
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour
