SPC Campuses, Client Sites, and/or Virtual Key Position Information St. Petersburg College (SPC) is seeking collaborative, highly engaged, and motivated Corporate Trainers to deliver customized training solutions for business, industry, nonprofit, and public-sector clients . Trainers will support a wide range of leadership, soft skills, professional development, and continuing education programs designed to strengthen workforce performance and organizational effectiveness. The Workforce, Community & Corporate Partnerships Department is committed to client success and seeks trainers who are passionate about adult learning, workforce development, and delivering high-impact training aligned with client needs and business outcomes. Corporate Trainer appointments are filled on an as-needed basis , depending on client demand and enrollment. Position Summary The Corporate Trainer is responsible for planning, developing, and delivering high-quality, client-focused training programs that promote measurable learning outcomes. Trainers collaborate with SPC staff and client leadership to design and facilitate engaging learning experiences that support organizational goals. Areas of Instruction May Include (Not Limited To) Leadership and supervisory development Communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills Customer service excellence Professional effectiveness and workplace readiness Change management and organizational development Conflict resolution and emotional intelligence Continuing Education and customized workforce training Minimum Requirements Education Associate degree required Bachelor¿s, Master¿s, or Doctorate degree preferred Experience Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in the subject matter area Prior corporate training, facilitation, or adult education experience preferred Relevant certifications may be required for certain training areas Computer Skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Experience using virtual training platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, WebEx) Ability to utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) and online training tools Comfortable developing and delivering presentations using digital tools Ability to track training data, evaluations, and attendance using spreadsheets or databases Familiarity with collaborative tools (SharePoint, Google Workspace, or similar) preferred Essential Responsibilities Partner with SPC leadership and clients to design training initiatives aligned with organizational objectives Develop and deliver customized training curricula using instructor-led, virtual, hybrid, and blended learning formats Create training materials, including facilitator guides, participant materials, and supporting resources Utilize diverse instructional strategies and adult learning techniques to engage learners Conduct needs assessments and collaborates with management to establish training goals and outcomes Develop and administer pre- and post-training evaluations to assess effectiveness Maintain accurate training records, evaluations, and documentation for reporting purposes Stay current with best practices in training, facilitation, leadership development, and professional learning Deliver training onsite at client locations, SPC campuses, or online, as assigned Collaborate with internal partners to ensure alignment, quality, and client satisfaction Additional Information Corporate Trainer positions are contingent upon enrollment and client contracts Selected candidates will be contacted for interviews as needs arise Official transcripts verifying degree completion are required at the time of interview Foreign transcripts must be evaluated by a NACES-approved service ( http://www.naces.org/members.htm ) Equal Access/Equal Opportunity The Board of Trustees of St. Petersburg College affirms its equal opportunity policy in accordance with the provisions of the Florida Educational Equity Act and all other relevant state and federal laws, rules and regulations.
