(SPC Campuses, Client Sites, and/or Virtual) Key Position Information St. Petersburg College (SPC) seeks highly motivated Professional Trainers to support short-term, workforce-focused programs in Drones (UAS), Supply Chain, Digital Media, Business, and Project Management . Trainer assignments are filled based on enrollment and program demand . While postings may remain open, there may or may not be an immediate instructional need; applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis. Position Summary The Professional Trainer is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering high-quality instruction that promotes successful student learning outcomes and workforce readiness. Trainers leverage industry expertise, applied learning, and emerging technologies to prepare learners for employment, certification, or career advancement. Program Areas May Include (Not Limited To) Drones / Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Supply Chain, Logistics, and Operations Digital Media, Marketing, and Content Creation Business and Entrepreneurship Project Management (traditional and agile methodologies) Minimum Requirements Education Associate degree required Bachelor¿s, Master¿s, or Doctorate degree preferred Experience Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in the subject matter area Prior teaching, training, or workforce instruction experience preferred Essential Responsibilities Plan and deliver instruction aligned with program objectives, industry standards, and workforce competencies Demonstrate instructional strategies that promote the acquisition of technical, professional, and project-based skills Use observational, oral, and written assessments to evaluate and enhance student learning Facilitate hands-on learning experiences, simulations, labs, or applied projects, as appropriate Create and maintain an inclusive, learning-centered environment that supports diverse learners Integrate current and emerging technologies , tools, and industry practices into instruction Deliver instruction in face-to-face, online, or hybrid formats, as assigned Observe and comply with SPC policies, procedures, and instructional standards Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current in the field Work effectively with diverse student populations, including adult learners and career changers Preferred Qualifications Industry certifications such as FAA Part 107, PMP, CAPM, Agile/Scrum, ASCM/APICS, Adobe, Google , or similar Experience teaching short-term workforce or certification-aligned programs Strong facilitation, communication, and instructional skills Additional Information Professional Trainer positions are contingent upon program enrollment and funding Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis and reviewed as needs arise Selected candidates will be contacted by the hiring manager for interviews Equal Access/Equal Opportunity The Board of Trustees of St. Petersburg College affirms its equal opportunity policy in accordance with the provisions of the Florida Educational Equity Act and all other relevant state and federal laws, rules and regulations.
