This role is ideal for a BAS professional who has spent years in the field installing, programming, troubleshooting, commissioning, or managing controls systems and is ready to share that knowledge through structured training and mentorship. We are especially interested in candidates who have progressed through multiple roles in the BAS industry and want to use their experience to strengthen the technical capabilities of an entire organization. Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver BAS training programs for technical and non-technical staff Lead hands-on and classroom training for: Niagara Framework Distech Controls systems Belimo devices Support and enhance our BAS apprenticeship and VAV box training programs Create and maintain training materials aligned with company standards and manufacturer documentation Partner with Operations, Technology, and Sales leadership to align training with business needs Collaborate with workforce development programs such as JTECH to strengthen our BAS talent pipeline Track trainee progress and competency benchmarks Travel monthly to Brooks offices for in-person instruction and coaching Skills, Knowledge and Expertise 8-15+ years of experience in Building Automation Systems or HVAC controls preferred Strong hands-on experience with Niagara Framework, Distech Controls, and Belimo systems Experience across multiple BAS roles such as: Field Technician Controls Programmer Systems Engineer Project Manager or Project Engineer Deep understanding of HVAC systems, VAV operation, and BAS troubleshooting Experience mentoring technicians, leading teams, or supporting technical training programs preferred Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical field-ready instruction Highly organized with the ability to build structured training materials and technical documentation Former senior BAS technicians or controls engineers looking to transition into mentorship or technical leadership roles are strongly encouraged to apply.
