Position:
Canine Care Specialist & Assistant Trainer ​ Organization Overview ​Advanced Canine Development is an expanding leader in elite canine education and behavioral rehabilitation. Our comprehensive services encompass foundational puppy development, multi-level obedience training, off-leash reliability, intensive board-and-train programs, specialized service/therapy dog conditioning, and advanced behavior modification. We are dedicated to cultivating harmonious partnerships between handlers and their dogs through structured, results-driven training. ​We are currently seeking a dedicated, high-caliber professional to join our team in a dual capacity handling both canine wellness and training assistance. ​ Role Overview ​In this hybrid role, you will oversee the daily health, safety, and comfort of our resident dogs while actively supporting our senior training staff during instructional sessions. This position requires an exceptional blend of hands-on animal husbandry skills, a foundational understanding of canine behavior, and top-tier client communication. ​ Core Responsibilities ​
Canine Welfare & Husbandry:
Manage the daily care routines of all dogs on-site, ensuring precise adherence to feeding schedules, exercise regimens, and enrichment activities. ​
Instructional Support:
Facilitate training operations by assisting senior instructors with the logistical preparation, execution, and post-session cleanup of training modules. ​
Real-World Environmental Proofing:
Transport and handle canine clients during off-site excursions to public venues, parks, and retail environments to reinforce socialization and obedience under distraction. ​
Facility Oversight:
Uphold stringent sanitation and safety protocols to maintain an immaculate, secure environment for all animals in our care. ​
Client Relations:
Act as a professional liaison for the company, building trust and maintaining clear communication with owners regarding their dogs' progress. ​ Candidate Qualifications ​
Professional Experience:
Proven background in animal care, husbandry, or behavior modification (formal dog training certifications are highly valued). ​
Interpersonal Skills:
Outstanding verbal communication skills and a strong commitment to delivering a premium customer service experience. ​
Operational Autonomy:
Demonstrated ability to execute tasks independently with minimal supervision, while seamlessly collaborating within a team structure. ​
Logistics & Availability:
Possession of a reliable vehicle, a valid driver's license, and the flexibility to accommodate evening and weekend shifts. ​
Administrative Aptitude:
Proficiency with basic digital tools and computer software for accurate data entry, record-keeping, and paperwork completion. ​ Compensation & Professional Benefits ​
