Job Description
Position Summary NCN Electric is seeking an Apprenticeship & Workforce Development Instructor to lead and continuously improve its Registered Apprenticeship Program. The Instructor will deliver classroom instruction, develop or adjust current curriculum, create lesson plans, integrate safety trainings, support apprentice success, coordinate workforce development initiatives, and ensure alignment between classroom instruction and field operations. Responsibilities Deliver classroom instruction in accordance with Florida Registered Apprenticeship standards and company requirements. Develop and maintain lesson plans, instructional materials, labs, and assessments. Teach electrical theory, code requirements, blueprint reading, construction mathematics, safety practices, and industry best practices. Monitor attendance, participation, academic progress, and apprentice performance. Administer quizzes, tests, practical evaluations, and other assessments. Provide mentoring and coaching to apprentices. Coordinate with operations leadership, foremen, and superintendents to align training with field needs. Integrate OSHA, fall protection, CPR/First Aid/AED, lockout/tagout, MEWP, and other safety training programs into curriculum. Maintain accurate records for attendance, grades, certifications, and compliance reporting. Assist with Florida DOE apprenticeship reporting and program compliance. Participate in apprenticeship-related events, outreach initiatives, career fairs, recruitment activities, and workforce development partnerships. Support continuous improvement initiatives and evaluate training effectiveness. Participate in instructor training, professional development, and apprenticeship conferences as appropriate. Assist with safety incident reporting procedures, safety awareness initiatives, and compliance efforts. Requirements Journeyman Electrician, Master Electrician, or equivalent electrical industry experience. Strong knowledge of electrical theory, construction practices, safety standards, and applicable codes. Previous experience teaching, training, mentoring, or coaching adults. Strong organizational, communication, and recordkeeping skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and instructional technology platforms. Ability to effectively present technical information to individuals with varying levels of experience. Completion of the Florida Department of Education Adult Learning Style for Apprenticeship Online Course. Ability to maintain compliance with Florida Registered Apprenticeship Program requirements. Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed. OSHA Outreach Trainer credentials or willingness to obtain. Preferred Qualifications Experience developing curriculum and lesson plans. Experience with Registered Apprenticeship Programs. Experience conducting safety training programs. Performance Metrics Apprentice retention and completion rates. Classroom attendance and engagement. RTI hour completion and compliance. Student assessment outcomes. OJT evaluation outcomes. Safety training completion rates. Program compliance and reporting accuracy. Pay:
$60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
