Full Job Description Schedule/Hours:
Monday - Friday (8:30am 4:00pm; 35 hours per week) Hourly rate: $17.62 p/h This position is responsible for: Plans implement, and evaluates activities within a designated program area, supporting the Lake Worth Corps' priority outcome areas of Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Good Character and Citizenship. Assists with the planning and execution of special programs and events, including Camp Keystone, Youth of the Year and Awards Programs, while supporting the implementation of other Corps activities as needed... Develops and maintains positive, professional relationships with members and their families to foster engagement and advance the mission of The Salvation Army.
Key Responsibilities:
Implements and administers programs, services and activities for members in an effective and engaging manner. Assist the Community Center Director with the planning, coordination, and execution of special recognition programs and initiatives, including Youth of Year and Youth of the Month, ensuring participants receive meaningful opportunities for leadership, personal development, and achievement. Monitors and evaluates programs, services, and activities to ensure the safety and well-being of all members while maintaining high-quality programming and a clean organized, and welcoming, branch environment standards and support a positive experience for members, families, and visitors at all times. Creates an environment that supports and promotes positive youth development Outcomes. Assists with the creation and implementation of a class curriculum that supports the development of each youth and promotes and stimulates program participation. Assists with registration of new members, explains programs' expectations, and participates in their orientation process. Provides ongoing guidance, support, and positive role modeling to members.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Ability to deal comfortably with stressful situations and follow emergency procedures. Ability to multi-task, ability to follow instructions and complete tasks in a safe and effective manner. Ability to interact with co-workers and the public in a positive, professional manner. Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language effectively. Work is performed in an indoor and outdoor recreational environment where there may be physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt and the like.

Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. and previous work in related field with Children and Youth preferred or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Licenses & Certifications:
Maintaining current DCF and Safe From Harm training requirements. Valid driver's license
