Specialist II, Education & Knowledge Technical Training

POSITION PROFILE

Directly supports the development needs of Direct and Dealer employees through the delivery of all field-based training programs. Works with Services Training and field management to deliver training and knowledge that supports the achievement of Ricoh business objectives and leverages the learning opportunities available through Services Training, including creation of written and video global knowledge. Position responsibilities include training delivery in both classroom and virtual settings. This position provides feedback, measurement and reporting to Services Training management and stakeholders on the execution of the learning plan and learning initiatives. The position requires knowledge of managing both classroom and virtual training environments and training delivery skills based on CTT+ and vCTT+ guidelines.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Delivers training solutions and specialized learning materials for complex technology products or processes and programs Proactively enhances knowledge and skill base by attending seminars/workshops in given field. Incorporates new knowledge in the development and/or delivery of course content Must satisfy specific technology/industry recognized certification criteria in order to demonstrate a level of proficiency and professionalism in the industry Conducts field employee coaching through field observation (e.g., field rides, work observation, post-training roundtables etc.) and leverages knowledge gained to augment training programs and global knowledge Proactively seeks feedback on existing training curricula and communicates opportunities and issues using prescribed process Actively pursues personal training and development opportunities and relevant approved certifications Responsible for achieving KPIs that are determined to be best suited for the achievement of the overall goals Has decision making authority for area of responsibility and independently solves problems May serve as team leader within workgroup or on cross-functional team Occasionally provides training and guidance to less experienced team members Maintain LMS activities including training records, schedules, rosters, etc. Evaluate training needs and provide recommendations for learners or their managers Develop cross functional relationships to meet department and company objectives

QUALIFICATIONS

(Education, Experience, and Certifications)

Strongly Preferred:

4-year college degree or equivalent experience Minimum 3 years training/curricula development/employee development experience strongly preferred 5 or more years functional industry experience Industry certification (e.g., Network+, Server+, MCP, Project+) and Functional certification (CTT+, vCTT+) preferred within 6 months

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Practical knowledge of company and organization policies, practices and procedures Practical ability to teach adults in high interaction environment Practical ability to assess skill sets, motivate, teach, coach and counsel to those skills Practical ability to multi task, prioritize, manage time and projects effectively, and maximize the impact of training time/field time

Practical ability to deliver training in accordance with CTT+ and vCTT+ guidelines

WORKING CONDITIONS, MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation, and a normal range of temperature and noise level Requires periodic travel to remote offices May require overnight travel 20- 50% of the time A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on a routine basis Work has some occasional stress due to periodical or cyclical workload pressures Some physical effort is required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that weigh up to 50 lbs. (e.g., papers, books, files and small parts, etc.) Physical effort may be required to move objects on wheels that may weigh up to 700 lbs.
