Full-time Job Summary:
The Training Coordinator will develop, schedule, and deliver training for operations and office staff, focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency, by creating programs, identifying needs, using Training Systems, training trainers, and tracking effectiveness to ensure a skilled and compliant workforce. This role ensures employees have the skills to perform jobs correctly, maintain quality, follow safety protocols, and adapt to new processes, directly impacting plant and office productivity and compliance. Key duties include needs assessments, hands-on instruction, record maintenance, new-hire orientation training, and collaboration with leadership to drive continuous improvement and regulatory adherence. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:
Program Development:
Create and update training content, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Visual Work Instructions (Std Work), and on-the-job training (OJT) materials for new hires and ongoing skills development for Production and Warehouse.
Coordination & Delivery:
Schedule, organize, and deliver hands-on training sessions, including compliance, onboarding, safety, and technical skills training. Manage training calendars, logistics, and assign employees to sessions. Coordinate for training sessions, including reserving training space, ordering materials, and arranging equipment setup.
Compliance:
Communicate training schedules, requirements, and updates to employees and leadership to ensure participation and compliance. Maintain accurate records of training activities, including attendance, completion status, and evaluation results.
Needs Assessment:
Partner with leadership to identify skills gaps and training needs through shop floor walks, feedback, and data analysis. Ensure training programs align with organizational needs and objectives. Identify opportunities for process improvements and enhancements to training programs and materials.
Evaluation:
Measure and evaluate training effectiveness through surveys, assessments, and feedback mechanisms, and compile data for analysis.
Other:
Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to training development in the manufacturing sector. Uphold company policies and standards related to training, safety, quality, and ethical conduct at all times.
Qualifications:

Experience:
1+ years of experience in a manufacturing training role. Knowledge of manufacturing equipment, work practices, and processes. Experience with onboarding new hires and developing training plans. Knowledge of GMP guidelines and regulatory compliance. Bilingual, English/Spanish required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Demonstrates energy and generates a positive and appealing response when teaching at all levels of the organization. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Has the ability to build rapport with every level in the facility. Ability to develop and deliver trainings. Effective teaching skills. Adequate understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and tools. Experience with applying root cause problem-solving tools. Good time-management, organizing, and coordinating skills. Skill in preparing job aids and training plans. Adequate knowledge of learning management software. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products A sense of ownership and pride in their performance and its impact on the company's success.
Work Conditions & Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. Work environment is normally in an office setting. Must be able to make frequent rounds in a warehouse environment Ability to view a computer screen and type for extended hours Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time Other physical requirements include moderate standing and occasional squatting, bending, and twisting Ability to work around a variety of different smells and aromas Ability to adjust work schedule as business needs require.
