Job Description

BEE Hive Youth Development Specialist Position Description:
The Youth Development Specialist works closely with the Coordinator and other program staff to plan plan and implement program activities. Essential functions of the position are: Maintain close, daily contact with Teen REACH participants Engage participants in daily activities Assist in meal preparation for daily breakfast, lunch and snacks Receive and provide information, discuss issues, explain expectations Provide direct instruction and implementation of program activities Interact with volunteers and community partners in a professional manner Implement youth development programs in assigned areas Ensure that all programs and activities occur daily as scheduled Follow and assist with daily and weekly cleaning schedule Assist in maintaining a clean, neat and properly equipped program area Other duties as assigned by
Program Coordinator Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge Required:
Requires excellent time management and organizational skills Experience working with children Ability to motivate youth and manage behaviors Ability to organize and supervise staff and program participants in a safe environment Ability to interact with the Administrator, Administration, boards, public and staff in an efficient, friendly, cooperative, confidential and professional manner and to ensure great customer service is provided to everyone at all times Valid driver's license Must be 18 years or older Reports to:
Teen REACH Coordinator Supervises:
