Job Description

The purpose of this position is to work with clients in a 1 to 1 basis or small group basis in their health journey. The personal trainer is responsible for setting times, adhering to the schedule of working with their clients and ensuring the CHW rules and regulations are followed. This student employment opportunity supports the development of skills aligned with the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Career Readiness Competencies . Through this role, students will strengthen the following competencies:
Communication:
Students build communication skills by practicing clear, respectful, and professional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication in a workplace setting.

Students build critical thinking skills by applying judgment, solving problems, prioritizing tasks, maintaining accuracy, and using feedback to improve their work.

Students build teamwork skills by collaborating with supervisors, staff, and peers to support department goals, assist others, and contribute to a positive work environment. The position will fulfill the commitment of the role titled, Personal trainer. This role will provide the following: Health assessments in accordance with the CHW policy manual One on one personal training Small group training sessions Cleaning the weight room and center Scheduling clients Ensuring all forms are correctly filled out Presentations to the community on health and wellness
MUST BE A STUDENT AT SAINT XAVIER UNIVERSITY
Must be Federal Work Study E ligible Must Include a Resume and Cover Letter Current student within the Exercise Science major in their junior, senior or graduate years. CPR/AED certified and working towards a certification.

Hours will be determined by the availability of the student and will not exceed 10 total hours a week.
