In this vital role, you will deliver engaging instruction on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems, combining hands-on training with theoretical knowledge. Your expertise will help students develop practical skills in maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO), electrical systems, hydraulics, plumbing, welding, automotive diagnostics, and aircraft maintenance. Experience Proven experience working with post-secondary students or adult learners in technical or vocational education settings. Extensive hands-on experience in HVAC/R systems installation, maintenance, repair, or troubleshooting within manufacturing or construction environments. Strong background in electrical systems, hydraulics, plumbing, welding, automotive diagnostics or service, aircraft maintenance, or related technical fields. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), Blackboard or other online instruction platforms, and educational technologies for teaching purposes. Demonstrated ability to design courses that meet higher education standards while engaging diverse student populations. Knowledge of safety regulations such as OSHA standards applicable to HVAC/R work environments. Experience working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds and adapting teaching methods accordingly. Technical proficiency in computer applications relevant to instructional delivery and curriculum development.
