A Defined Path Toward Management The Fast Track program is designed to accelerate the development of qualified, high-performing professionals. Phase 1 - Your First 12 Months You'll begin as a financial professional, gaining firsthand experience in the business you may eventually lead. During this phase, you'll learn how to: Build and grow your own client base Develop lasting client relationships Create and execute a business development strategy Prospect, market, and grow your professional network Help individuals, families, and businesses work toward their financial goals Develop the communication and leadership skills needed to lead others Candidates in the Accelerated Path to Management work as financial professionals for 12 months and, after meeting applicable production and licensing requirements, can transition into the Associate Partner Training program. No Financial Services Experience? We'll Help You Get Started. You do not need to already hold financial services licenses to begin the process. Before working with clients, you'll complete the applicable licensing requirements for your role. New York Life provides resources and support to help candidates prepare for required professional licenses, along with structured training designed to give you the knowledge and confidence to launch your career. For candidates in our program, required licensing and training costs are covered by New York Life. Your development doesn't stop once you're licensed. New York Life provides a combination of instructor-led and self-guided education, on-the-job learning, mentorship from Development Managers, peer learning, and ongoing professional development. You'll develop skills in areas such as: Financial products and solutions Prospecting and client acquisition Relationship building Sales and business development Compliance and industry regulations Practice and business management Leadership and team development The goal is simple: we don't expect you to arrive as a financial expert—we provide the training and resources to help you develop into one. Phase 2 - Transition Toward Management Candidates who successfully meet the applicable performance, licensing, and program requirements during their first 12 months may become eligible to transition into the Associate Partner management path. From there, you'll enter a specialized six-month Associate Partner Training program designed to prepare you to recruit, coach, develop, and lead financial professionals. Upon successful completion, the path can lead to becoming a New York Life Field Manager. The advantage of this approach is that you learn the business firsthand before being asked to lead others in it.
