Jordan's Furniture, the leading furniture retailer in New England, is looking for a passionate Learning and Development Intern to join our team for the summer of 2026. In this fast-paced and people-first environment, you'll help enhance employee development and training programs that support our vibrant culture and business goals. Through our "Furnish Your Future" Internship Development Program, you'll jump-start your career by learning the ins and outs of an innovative and creative Learning and Development team within the retail industry. Your focus will be to analyz e ways to increase sales effectiveness and provide ongoing development resources to our teams. You will also get the opportunity to support our employee growth through training initiatives, professional development programs, and engagement strategies. What You'll Do:
Bring your creativity and fresh ideas to help shape engaging learning experiences for the J-Team. Take ownership of a project that advances a key Learning and Development initiative. Assist in the design, coordination, and evaluation of employee training workshops that support skills development, compliance, and career growth. Collaborate on the rollout of new learning platforms, tools, and resources to support employee learning journeys. Research best practices in workplace learning, training trends, and adult learning theory to provide recommendations that drive continuous improvement. Help maintain training materials, learning libraries, and documentation to ensure content is current and aligned with business needs Any other function or responsibility as assigned by the department.Who You Are:
A rising college junior or senior pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business Administration, or a related field. Passionate about helping others grow and develop in their careers. Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and time management skills. Strong communicator with the ability to engage effectively with team members across all levels of the organization. A proactive, self-motivated learner eager to take on new challenges and make an impact. Prior experience in HR, training, teaching, or customer service is a plus but not required .Pay Rate:
$23.00 per hour. We share our pay rate because transparency matters. This reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role based on experience and performance.
