PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Bus Driver Youth Development Professional (Bus YDP) is responsible for implementing the day-today transportation of the afterschool program, ensuring a safe, positive environment, implementing the transportation program, and collaborating with the Club Director and or Program Director. Bus Driver YDP's role is to transport Club Member participants from school to the Boys & Girls Club, approved field trip sites and back to the club.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Clean Club Bus daily. 2. Oversee and support youth during transporting. 3. Participate in special programs and/or events. 4. Assume other duties as assigned.
RELATIONSHIPS
Internal:
Maintain close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer) Club members, and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain guidelines/instructions; instruct; and advise/counsel.
External:
Maintain supportive relationships with external community groups, schools, members' parents, and others to assist in resolving problems.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Age Requirement:
25 years or older
  • Valid State Driver's License with a good driving record for 3 years
  • license requirements for the position.
  • Individual should be able to climb stairs and be trained in First Aid/CPR.
  • Experience working with children.
  • Knowledge of youth development.
  • Ability to motivate youth.
  • Ability to work with the public.
  • Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth.
  • Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Good attendance and reliability are a must This is a part-time, non
  • exempt position.
