Royal Oak, MI We are seeking a driven and creative Business Development & Marketing Professional to support firmwide growth efforts. This role blends business development, proposal development, and marketing communications. You'll work closely with leadership and project teams to identify opportunities, develop compelling pursuit materials, strengthen client relationships, and elevate the firm's presence across key markets. Experience in an AEC (Architecture, Engineering, or Construction) environment is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development Manage BD pipeline including lead tracking, CRM updates, and go/no‑go coordination Research clients and market opportunities to support strategic positioning Prepare materials for client meetings, presentations, and interviews Support relationship‑building efforts through coordinated touchpoints and follow‑through Identify and track RFP/RFQ opportunities across public and private sectors Assist with teaming strategies, including subconsultant coordination and partnership pursuits Proposal Development Lead development of proposals and qualifications, including presentation materials Maintain and enhance content libraries (project sheets, resumes, boilerplate, photography) Write and edit compelling narratives that communicate the firm's strengths and experience Collaborate with project managers and principals to meet deadlines and ensure quality Marketing & Communications Manage website updates for projects, team credentials, and firm news Coordinate social media presence with consistent, professional content Support award submissions and PR efforts Assist with events and industry engagement including conferences and sponsorships Maintain brand standards across all communications Manage CRM data and reporting (Deltek Ajera or similar preferred) Capture project information including photos, data, and client testimonials

QUALIFICATIONS

Required 4-6 years in AEC business development, marketing, or proposal development Demonstrated experience producing proposals and qualifications (SF330 a plus) Strong writing skills with the ability to translate technical content into clear, compelling narratives Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office Familiarity with AEC CRM platforms (Deltek Ajera, Salesforce, or equivalent) Highly organized with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines Self‑starter with the ability to work independently and proactively Preferred Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field Experience supporting healthcare or institutional pursuits Familiarity with public and private procurement processes (e.g., MDHHS, hospital systems, municipalities) Experience with Adobe Creative Suite beyond InDesign (Photoshop, Illustrator) Exposure to website development Membership or familiarity with SMPS Keywords business-development training-and-development time-and-attendance proposal-management marketing-communications cabinet-construction-materials-hardware environment-health-and-safety-hsse ecology-environment lead-tracking candidate-relationship-management crm customer-relationship-management-crm presentations request-for-proposal-rfp-automation request-for-proposal-rfp social-media public-relations pull-request trade-shows-events reporting-and-disclosure adaptive-project-management-and-reporting deltek adobe-indesign salesforce project-management health-care supply-management logistics-and-procurement medical-facilities-services adobe-photoshop photoshop adobe-illustrator web-development switched-mode-power-supply-smps switch-mode-power-supplies
