Toyoda Gosei North America (headquartered in Troy, MI) has an opening for a Sr. Training & Development Specialist in the Human Resources department. The Sr. Training & Development Specialist is responsible for providing professional-level training and development solutions across Toyoda Gosei (TG) North America Corporation (TGNA) and TGRTC. Essential Duties and Responsibilities In collaboration with the department leadership, develop corporate and location-based training strategies and methods to educate, enhance, and recognize performance Support the design and development of training programs and training plans Coordinate, facilitate, and may lead employee and leadership development programs at TGNA and TGRTC Basic administration, such as keeping team member registers and attendance records during training Create, maintain, and update training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials Assess training needs through consultation with managers and surveys and identify training needs Produce training materials for in-house courses as appropriate. Also, promote the use of Corporate Training programs and materials. Amend and revise materials as necessary, in order to adapt to changes that occur Develop methods for and evaluate training program effectiveness and impacts Support HR leadership in coordination and scheduling of the TGNA Executive development training programs Function in a highly collaborative environment where flexibility and teamwork are crucial to organizational success Lead and support HR related projects as requested Mentor, audit and provide written and/or oral feedback to instructors and on-site participants and experts Work with TGU to build or input information in the
LMS:
courses, offerings, rosters, etc. Attend and contribute to training sessions (future internal, external sessions) Maintain awareness and understand the roles and responsibilities regarding the environmental policies, management system, and objectives and targets by attending the required training. Evaluate modes of training delivery, such as in-person or virtual, to optimize training effectiveness, training costs, or environmental impacts. Make recommendations to improve results Run reports or create dashboards to show the results Drive optimization by being actively engaged in continuous improvement efforts (kaizen) Other Duties and Responsibilities This role requires the completion of other duties as assigned Required Education, Experience, and Skills Certifications and Education Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent years of experience is required Experience 4-8 Years of experience in Human Resources function are required Previous experience in training, organizational development preferred Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
