Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Elections Training and Equipment Operations Specialist to lead the development, coordination, and delivery of comprehensive election-related training programs. In this role, you will ensure election workers and staff are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to execute smooth, transparent, and secure elections. This position is additionally responsible for loading software, testing voting equipment with ballot counting protocols, supervising temporary workforce, managing inventory control and equipment tracking procedures and election site room operations. You will coordinate ongoing equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Responsible for all activities pertaining to election training and election equipment by the County Clerk's Office, including but not limited to, Election Worker training, equipment and supply preparation, absentee voting equipment, polling place deployment operations, and other county clerk and election administration tasks. Your expertise in communication will be vital in creating engaging training materials that meet rigorous standards. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive training curricula for election workers utilizing instructional design models. Create visually compelling training materials using graphic design tools to enhance learner engagement. Design and produce multimedia content including videos to support online and classroom-based instruction. Manage election worker software to deliver, track, and assess training programs effectively. Conduct research on best practices in election operations and adult education to continuously improve curriculum quality. Coordinate logistics for in-person training sessions, including venue setup, presentation materials, and participant communication. Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback collection, assessments, and performance metrics to refine content continually. Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to ensure alignment of training initiatives with operational needs and compliance standards. Develop and present written and oral presentations. Effectively represent programs within the County Clerk's Office. Test, maintain, and troubleshoot computer and election equipment and software for specific departmental applications. Communicates with all polling locations regarding upcoming and scheduled elections two years in advance to reserve the facility Communicates with all polling locations for delivery, election day, and pick up dates Coordinates the organization and preparation of polling location equipment, supplies and materials Responsible to help set up, take down, and clean up polling sites Responsible for delivering, setting up, take down, and clean up equipment and supplies at training facility sites Provide quality customer service interacting with the public regarding election processes and procedures. Absentee and Election Day Equipment and supply preparation Polling place deployment operations Other County Clerk and Election Administration Tasks. Knowledge of learning technology applications for creating interactive e-learning modules. Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—to clearly convey complex information to diverse audiences. Ability to proofread content meticulously ensuring accuracy and clarity in all training materials. Training experience or experience delivering adult education is highly desirable. Presentation skills capable of engaging audiences during live sessions or virtual webinars. Experience in inventory, shipping, delivering a plus. Attention to detail and organization skills a must. Ability to manage and work well within a diverse team while demonstrating supportive behavior. Ability to provide guidance and give constructive feedback
Work Environment:
Mixture of warehouse environment and office setting with a mixture of seated/desk work and standing/moving/lifting depending on tasks to be completed. Ability to attend Training Seminars and Workshops.
Working hours:
8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday -Friday. Some evenings and weekends during early voting and extended hours on Election Day.
