Job Description

C & B Operations, LLC is a progressive company that has grown over 35 years to include thirty-eight John Deere dealerships in six states currently. We currently have an opening for a Technical Communicator position to be located in Montana. The Technical Communicator serves as a key technical resource for service teams across the dealership network. This role helps improve machine uptime and customer satisfaction by assisting with diagnostics, coordinating technical support, sharing best practices, and delivering technical training.

Essential Duties:
Support Technicians, Service Managers, and Parts Managers in diagnosing and resolving complex equipment issues. Coordinate and manage John Deere CCMS cases, ensuring accurate documentation and communication with factory support. Research machine issues using diagnostic tools, machine data, service information, and previous case history. Partner with John Deere to identify and resolve emerging product quality concerns. Share technical knowledge and best practices across dealership locations. Identify technical training needs and assist with training delivery, apprenticeship programs, and new product launches. Maintain current knowledge of engine, hydraulic, electrical, and machine systems.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in service and/or parts operations within agriculture, construction, turf, or heavy equipment industries. Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Experience using diagnostic and service software tools preferred. Proven ability to communicate technical information and deliver training. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and customer service skills. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred. Valid driver's license with a safe driving record. Ability to meet physical demands and duration of physical exertion generally required to perform tasks in support of all job functions, for example - sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling Travel is required, including overnight stays for training events. Training travel may occur approximately every two weeks during peak training seasons.
